The original cameo was my Great-Grandmother Mildred’s brooch, something I have loved having in my jewelry chest for many years, alongside her tiny rectangular cameo ring that barely fits my pinky. Both are exquisite and have made beautiful castings for modern re-styling. Here is the ring I love so much. I wear mine on my pointer finger because it’s such a standout piece. I call it “Seven Sisters” because of the seven little embedded stones that surround her with light and movement.
I work with metal clay, mostly in bronze. It’s an awe-inspiring process that begins as a lump of boring-looking clay. And after sculpting, kiln-firing and metalsmithing, it emerges as a stunning precious metal adornment.
Custom made in full or half-sizes, my rings are comfortable and durable for everyday wear. Highest-quality lab-produced gemstones remain stable, kiln-fired at 1600°F, and will not cloud or scratch easily, rating 8.5 on the Moh’s Hardness Scale. Stones are brilliant, embedded round classic-cut, white.
All bronze rings are coated for tarnish-resistance to prevent discoloration on skin. Clean and polish with gentle soap and water and pat dry.
